77 RPTRAs in North Jakarta Reopened in Stages

Around 77 children-friendly playgrounds (RPTRA) spread over six sub-districts, North Jakarta have been reopened in stages by implementing strict COVID-19 preventative health protocols.

They are reopened with a number of conditions that must be complied with

Noer Subchan, Sub-agency Head of North Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) disclosed it corresponded to the PPAPP Agency Decree number 261/2020 on Management of RPTRA during transitional PSBB.

"They are reopened with a number of conditions that must be complied with. We will continue to monitor community activities while in the RPTRA area," he expressed, Monday (10/19).

RPTRAs in Thousand Islands Opened in Stages by Implementing Health Protocols

He explained, every day, the park was opened at 7 AM to 5 PM and was open to the public at a capacity of 50 percent of normal capacity. Officers and visitors should wear masks, maintaining physical distancing and wash their hands with soap in running water.

They should be in good health or not show symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough and others. Officers would also take temperature measurements as part of the health protocol.

People who were allowed to visit and take advantage of facilities such as a reflection park and a jogging track should be over nine years old and under 60 years old.

"However, only a few facilities that can be used, such as prayer rooms, halls, library rooms, lactation rooms, sports fields, children's playground and outdoor fitness are still closed," he closed.
